Well... I learned something from that Stanley Cup. To listen to your gut. My gut was telling me to go with Detroit the entire way because of how solid their defense was and is, but I decided to go with the less experienced Penguins. Why? Not sure actually. Maybe it was my friend brain washing me into believing that they were the better team... who knows?
Anyway, that was a damn exciting Cup. Even though it didn't go to 7 games as I had hoped, it was still intense! Congrats to the Red Wings and their stout defense. Wow, they really took it to those young superstars that's for sure! I can't wait for next season.
Alright, I am sure most of you are aware that the NBA Finals is and has been going on for a week or so now. Celtics & Lakers. Boy does this ring my 'dejavu' bell! I am from around Boston, so of course I am rooting for the Celtics. Even though I am not a big Basketball fan myself, I hang on my pride. My prediction for these finals is, Celtics in 7 (unless they somehow win the next away game). So with that said, I will leave you all with a nice little chant that I will be yelling at the television when Boston doesn't have the ball... DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!! DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!! Ok I'm done... Good day!

Stanley Cup Playoffs - The FINAL
I can't wait for tonight. This is going to be one hell of a series! I was pretty much dead on the predictions last round, except for philly only winning 1 game instead of 2, but hey, no ones perfect. Anywho, let's see how I do this time.
This is probably the hardest prediction I have ever had to make... ever. I honestly do not have a clear winner in my mind. Detroit - the best defensive team, and Pittsburgh - the best offensive. Who will win? Some say a better defense is the way to go, I somewhat agree. But can they really contain the talent and skill that the Penguins have? I guess we will find out.
Pittsburgh 4
Detroit 3
I can't really say why I am choosing Pittsburgh right now. I guess maybe because they're a younger team, and I'm hoping they can outlast the older Redwings? Who knows. All I care about is that this series goes to 7 and its hard fought, each and every minute.

Stanley Cup - Conference Finals
Before I go into my predictions I first have to admit, that was some damn good hockey. The Flyers shocked the hell out of me though. I also didn't think Detroit would steam roll the Av's, but damn. 2 hat tricks in 4 playoff games? who would of thunk it... Amazing. Detroit is looking almost too good right now, but Dallas, let's just say they enjoy being the underdogs. I won't say anything on Pittsburgh because well, I am pretty sure we all expected them to go atleast this far.
Well, as I promised, here are my predictions for the Conference Finals:
Pittsburgh 4
Philadelphia 2
Detroit 4
Dallas 2
I would honestly be surprised if Philadelphia gets 2 on the Penguins, and the same for Dallas against Detroit. I gave them both 2 for the simple fact that, it's playoffs people, who knows what's about to happen? Therefore, I was nice and gave them each home wins :)
Again, once this round is complete, I will speak my thoughts on the Stanley Cup Finals. Until then, take care everybody...

Big Bad Bears - Boston Bruins
Well if you didn't see this post coming then I don't know what to say.
The Boston Bruins had one hell of a run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Honestly, I didn't even think they would win 1 game, let alone come back from a 3-1 game deficit.
In game 7, they gave it their all in the beginning, and yes, they were outplaying Montreal. Well...until of course the ref decided to call some bullshit holding penalty on Chara. Then of course Montreal scored, and kept on scoring (scored once on another dumb call by, take a guess now...you got it, the ref). It's things like this that is making me dislike watching sports. I love all kinds of sports, but this passed year the officiating around every single league of every sport I have seen has been horrid. Like, my blind sister with one leg could do a better job bad (and no I don't have a blind one legged sister).
Its horrible, and it's getting worse. Bad calls turning good games completely around and possibly changing the outcome. I don't know what the hell is going on, but someone needs to do something.
Lastly, I don't want everyone to think I am completely against Refs and what not, they're just doing their job. Also, my best friend is a ref. He's part of the rare breed of ref's though, he's actually good at it. Hell I end up asking him why he isn't refereeing these big games instead of those dumbos.
Well, before I bore you all with any more of my ref bashing... I will end this ventation here.
Take care all!
